In-N-Out Burger. Wow, that was a fancy place to have a first date, eh? Sadie shook her head as she pulled into the parking lot of the restaurant. She had met a very cute actor one day on a trip to the set, trying to figure out how the bigger buisiness worked on things - a bit different from independent films, she had to admit. There was something about the beauty of the cast, the shine of the new filming equipment, the gleam of the lights, the polished scripts, the make up artists and hair artists that really made Sadie foam at the mouth. This was the life she was meant to have - the behind the scenes life of 'yeah, that's my show' or 'yeah, I wrote that Oscar Winning film.' She needed this more than a person needed air and water to live, this is what she was made for. And the only thing that stood in her way now was a good screenplay.
But - screenplay or not - that didn't effect this particular night's plans. A date with one very attractive, very charming young actor. If her day could not get any better... actually, she had no idea how it could get any better. It was that fabulous already. She looked at the clock in her car, she was 8 minutes late but that was no biggie, she was fashionably late. Her mother had always told her, "Sadie, querida. Joo never, ever wait for da boy, if he make joo wait, joo leave him. He is not worth eet. But joo are worth everyting, he wait for joo all night if joo want him too. No worries," in her thick accent. Her words still echoed in her ear as Sadie pulled the mirror down and checked her make up, and fixing her lip gloss. "Good enough," she said, knowing full and well that she would never be capable of competing with those actresses he was around with all the time - hopefully her personality would make up for all of it.
She opened the door to the restaurant, her brown hair falling over her shoulders in gentle curls as she looked around the restaurant, her heart beating a little quickly. Even though she was fashionably late, he was taking advantage of her - she thought - the fact that she wasn't quite as cool as him was the reason why he thought he could stand her up, or at least make her wait. That was so not right. She toyed gently at the cuff of her bright green sweater that draped below the hem of her jean skirt, her black leggings clinging to her like a second skin with clear gelly ballet flats on her feet. Where was he?

Tyler had just gotten out of the make up room. He was fresh off the set and had a date hehad to get to. He had met a nice attractive writer on his way into the studio that morning. He had asked her on a date and she gave him a yes. He had just gotten out of a relationship in which his girlfriend was never there for him so he was single and looking. As he exited the studio he entered his Audi A4 and turned on the engine and began the drive down Hollywood boulevard. He entered his requested destination into the onboard GPS system, In 'N' Out burger. He knew it wasn't the most romantic place for a date but it was kinda short notice.
As he was driving and enjoying the view of hollywood's intricately designed streetshe noticed strange sound coming from his cars engine. After a few spurts and shots from his engine it just stalled itself. He managed to get it to the side of the street before it completley shut itself off. After a few attempts at tuning the engine proved futile he realized he was screwed. He hadn't gotten her number back at the studio so he couldn't call her and let her know that his car was broken. He exited the car and made a decision, he was just going to make the run to the burger joint.
After locking the car door he tightnes the laces on his vans and took off. He was running pretty fiercly and couldn't stop he was determined to make it there soon. He had his iPhone feeding him the direction as well as giving him some pump up music so he would make it on time. He was starting to sweat, he was trying hard to control his sweat so he wouldn't smell when he got to the resturant. Although he did have alot of cologne on. Along the way there was a homless man and he asked for money, Tyler didn't have any time to stop so he just grabbed his wallet and tossed some money towards the man. The burger shop was finally in sight and he increasedhis speed and finally made it inside. He looked around and saw Sadie and ran up to her. " I'm sorry I'm.....I'm.......late" had to keep pausing for air as he tried ti speak between gasps." car.....broke.....down....no....phone....number" by this time he was sweating quite a bite but he finaly made it.

Sadie sighed, her eyes searching every booth, never once falling upon Tyler's face - the only one that mattered tonight. With a soft sigh, she turned around, whispering quietly under her breath, "Not waiting." She felt like she should have known something like this would happen - no actor, in his right mind, would date the writer unless he wanted to have a part writen specifically for him. It figured that he would stand her up.
But he didn't.
Stopping dead in her tracks as she was headed towards the door, she couldn't help but gasp out quietly. He was sweaty - the moisture clinging to his skin only suceeding in making him more desirable - out of breath - the heaving of his chest quickly reminding Sadie of the heaving of a man's chest after sex - and still as attractive as he had been when she met him that morning. She shook her head at his apology, blushing in shame - she was about to leave him, how could she treat him that way? "No, it's okay... I just got here anyways... I was going to go wait in my car or something." That much was true, knowing herself she probably would have sat in her car for an hour, hoping he would walk through the door and then play it off like she was running late as well.
"You're all wet," she said quietly, a smile dancing across her lips as she tugged on the sleeve of her sweater, pulling it over her hand. Taking his chin gently in her free hand, she stood on her tip toes and wiped her sweater against his forehead gently, slowly. Her hand froze against his temple, her breath catching as her eyes flickered across his lips, his cheeks, his nose, his eyes. Her mind was far away - imagining things, like she always did; it was as if she was attempting to remember some unknown line from a distant script, but it was nowhere to be found. Realizing where she was, what she was doing she blinked quickly, taking a deep breath and pulling back away from him, blushing and running her hand through her hair, her eyes falling to the ground. "I..." she croaked out, "I'm sorry.. I didn't mean to... um, be so.." with a soft groan she petered out and whispered in a quiet attempt to save herself from humilation, "Should we get a table?"

He was bent over, hands placed firmly against his knees.Gasping for air, sweat dripping from his brow, but a smile coming over his cheeks. He made it, he fought and fought, but he finally made it. He slowly lifted himself up looking her in the eye. "You didn't just get here, I saw you getting up through the window on the way in. But it's okay, I don't blame you I probably would have left too." He took another deep breath, letting his eyes float over her. She was beautiful, when he met her that morning. He took a small step to stand closer to her smiling.
"Yeah, I am wet. I tried really hard to not get wet but it was either that or not make it so I took the better choice." He said smiling, Her eyes were so soft and welcoming. He could smell the sweet scent vibrating from her hair, drawing him closer to her. Fighting the urge to lift her off of her feet and take her to his place. Holding the smile he had he took another small step towards her making himself that much closer to her. As she placed her hand on his temple for that secon he was in heaven. as she pulled her hand up he took it with one of his.Lacing his fingers with her, he slowly placed his other hand around her waist. Whispering softly "No problem," he then slowly placed a kiss on her lips, slightly tilting his and, rubbing the back of her soft sweater gently. AS he pulled away he smiled and whispered "Yeah let's find a seat."

She blushed slightly as he explained that he would have preferred to be wet and with her than dry and nowhere near getting to be with her. That was the sweetest thing she had heard in a long time, and definately the sweetest thing she could ever imagine coming from an actor's mouth - not that they're all bad people or anything - just a little different from the rest of the world.. a bit more jaded.
With soft gasp, she noticed as her hand left her control entirely, falling prey to Tyler's larger hand. His fingers laced with hers with ease and she couldn't help but want to keep them that way. She longed to be held by him, touched by him for the rest of the night, for days, for years, for a lifetime.
She felt her heart beat quicken, time slowing in the same instance as Tyler leaned down. Those perfect lips of his, those soft petals of perfection nearing hers slowly as she felt her body move towards his instinctively. Her free hand rested gently on his arm as his hand moved to rest against her hip. His lips brushing softly against hers as she attempted to keep control over her body, the last thing he needed was her fainting in his arms or something equaly dramatic. She smiled back at him as he pulled back, her mind still trying to realize that he really did just kiss her. Was it too early to say she had fallen for him?
She led him to a booth, her hand still in his as her mind raced. What did this make him? - a premature kisser? And how about her? - a slut? What did this make them? She closed her eyes as she tried to force those thoughts from her mind, sliding into the booth. Things didn't quite work out like in the movies - her job was supposed to make an alternative world where perfection seemed to lie underneath the surface of the most disfunction. But the truth of the matter is that life never, ever was that way. That kiss probably meant nothing to him more than a 'I'm sorry I'm late.' End story.
Or was it? She could only hope.

Tyler slightly tightened the grip he had on her hand as she led him to the booth. No matter how many places Tyler had eaten nothing ever beat the taste of in n out's secret spread. As he slid into the booth next to her he unlaced his Fingers and pulled his hand away from hers, instead placing it on her lap, against her warm skin.
As he smiled at her whispering gently in her ear " I'm glad you decided to go on this date with me." he placed another soft kiss on her cheek, causing his to turn a bright flourecent pink.he calmly bit his lower lip before picking up the menu. "so, what do you want to eat?" he tried to remain as calm as possible on the exterior. Although internaly his nerves were all rattled.

She frowned slightly as she reached for a menu, turning her gaze away from Tyler. Sadie was upset he would even let go of her hand, but what was she expecting? An actor like him can't sit with his hand in her's all night, that was just ridiculous. She should just be happy that he even decided to sit next to her, the hand was something she could do without for a bit of time. But quickly his hand found refuge elsewhere, resting gently against her thigh, her heart jumped quietly in excitement. Thhe skin beneath his hand tingled from the heat of his fingertips. The hand on hers was one simple, gentle touch, but his hand on her thigh was something so much more, a motion that showed that he really did want to be with her. That this interest was mutual and it made her happy..
Her hair fell like a gently silken screen between the two as she gazed down at her lap. The soft pink hues her cheek had taken on naturally being hidden by the hair. A gentle hand slid from the table to her hair, pushing the brown curls behind her ear as she stared down at the menu in front of her, her heart pounding loudly in her ear. The sound quieted quickly as he whispered softly in her ear, a soft shiver running down her spine as she smiled up at him.
A gentle giggle escaped her lips as she placed her hand on his, his lips brushing gently against her already pink cheek. Commenting quietly, she said, "You're cute when you blush." She liked to know that not only did she blush like a crazy person, but other people were capable of blushing easily as well. That not only were other people capable but Tyler was capable. "Um," she said quietly to the question, glancing back down at the menu and grimmacing. "As sad as this may sound, I have never been here before.. do you want to order for me?" she asked, her eyes lighting up hopefully.
She was not only unfamiliar with the menu but she didn't want to be rude. She didn't want to order more food than him and overeat but she didn't want to get too little and make him feel like a pig because he got an actual meal and she didn't. The dilemmas of being on a date with someone strange was not knowing what to expect from them. It just seemed that Tyler was so much more confidant than her, he was prepared for this sort of situation even if she wasn't. He was the confidant one and she was the scared little butterfly.
