Blackened roar, massive roar, fills the crumbling sky
Shattered goal fills his soul with a ruthless cry
Stranger now are his eyes to this mystery
He hears the silence so loud

"Jake"
"Born and grown up in Miami, Florida, Jake is used to surfing, beaches and the hot weather. He’s been on the earth since 17 years and he is still not tired of it. He was very interested in acting and decided to pursue a career in acting. He had participated in many school plays, and was recognized for his great talent in acting. However, his grades were average and for some time, he had to quit acting so that he could concentrate more on his studies. His father, an industrialist allowed him to make decisions in his life. His mother, too, encouraged him. He has an elder sister named Lisa, 19, and a younger brother named Fred, 12. He likes listening to music, cars, money and the life of a celebrity. He hates snow and people who irritate him. Usually, he’s not that hot tempered but when somebody’s irritating him, he can’t help it.
Jake is definitely not the most down to earth person you will see. Nor has he got the humanitarian of the year award. He fears failure and gives up very easily. He needs the necessary ‘push’ to do any work. He has an average taste in clothes and fashion. He liked to play guitar but he never got a chance to do it, and lost interest in it. His home life was just like any other’s."

Katsuo was admittedly still a little tired after work. He had been working all day, right through the last shift, and had even ended up closing up for the pet shop. He was seriously considering a job switch. He liked the people who worked there, and he liked the animals. He just hated being the last one out and locking the doors on all the not bought animals. He always felt like they were pleading with him to let them go. The last thing he saw every time he closed up for Casey's Pet shop were their sad eyes and pouty faces.
"Looking for someone special?"
"Sou desu yo..." That's right. Katsuo was surprisingly unphased by his friend's question, though it occurred to him that he had been silly not thinking of inviting his girlfriend to go along with them. He spotted one of the fatty food stands and made his way over to it. He realized was famished after work. He'd even been smart enough to skip lunch today to clean up an accident in the puppy area. It wasn't like him to miss out on a meal, so he figured he could use the treat.
"I bet you are too," Katsuo replied to Yuri, chuckling. He gave the man behind the stand counter his order and waited patiently for his snack. He'd order a funnel cake. His favorite carnival snack.
"What do you want to do first?" Yuri was asking.
Katsuo shrugged and gave the worker the $3.00 in exchange for his snack. It was nice and warm. It reminded him of one of his first visits to the Carnival in Sarabella. That had been years and years ago, probably close to a decade, when his family had first moved here. He'd been pretty foreign to the whole place then, and the whole concept of the Carnival had been really intriguing for him. Funnel Cakes had kind of been his first taste of American sweets.
Katsuo took a bite and sighed. His stomach was already beginning to feel better just thinking about the food. "Well, I probably won't go on anything too crazy since I'm eating. What about the ferris wheel?" Katsuo paused, then laughed. He remembered Yuri wasn't too big on heights and patted his friend on the shoulder. "Or...we could play some games...Gah, I don't care what we do. You can pick something."
He was about to take another bite of the funnel cake he was eating, when he recognized someone he was sure Yuri's family was well-acquainted with. Of course, they both knew a lot of people here, but the thing that was odd about the person in front of them was that he was looking around suspiciously, almost like he didn't...want to get caught eating a hot dog?
Katsuo nudged Yuri, gesturing over to the nearby hot-dog stand. "Isn't that Kimiko's principal?"
He finished chewing the food already in his mouth, swallowed, and nudged Yuri again. "You should go say hello. Ask how Kimiko's doing. I think your mom would appreciate it."
Katsuo didn't know the school principal particularly well, but he still gave the guy a lot of credit. Mr. Douglas seemed to be rather well-known throughout Sarabella, and most admirable of all, probably, was the fact that he was already in an executive role in the school though he did not appear that old. Katsuo realized he was probably so respectful of the man because he was hoping for the same kind of success in his future career. Ever since he had become a junior in college, it had dawned on him how seriously he needed to weigh his options in terms of careers.
